NOTICE about EGEP application process

We are trying our best to make the application process as easy as possible. However, sometimes things that are obvious to us may not seem logical or clear to you. In this section, you will find a list of questions which may help you regarding your application.

 

If you have any further questions that are NOT mentioned in this section, do not hesitate to contact us directly via e-mail (egep@ewha.ac.kr) only! 

Q: When will I know the result?

A: Successful candidates will be informed individually via e-mail. Please be sure you have provided a valid email address in your application form so we can contact you. The result will also be announced on the website of the Asian Center for Women’s Studies. 

Q. Should a Korean applicant submit a copy of her passport?

A: A Korean applicant should submit a copy of any government issued ID such as a passport.

Q. My passport will expire soon and I have not renewed my passport yet. What should I do?

A : When you apply for EGEP, please make sure that your passport remains valid for at least six months until the expiry date. In addition to the required documents, you should also submit a scanned copy of your passport. 

Q: Should I send the application by regular mail?

A: No. We accept the application by the on-line application system only.

Q: In case when my recommender is out of the country, may I turn in the application documents without all the recommendation letter and ask the recommender to e-mail the letter after the deadline?

A: No. All documents should be submitted by the on-line application system until deadline

Q. Who should write the letter of recommendation for my application?

A: The letter has to be written by those who know well about your personal and professional capacity and the activities you are or were involved in. 

Q. Do you have any qualification with regard to language?

A: None. But English is the official language of the EGEP.

Q. Who should apply for the EGEP?

A: EGEP welcomes applications from women activists working in international and national non-governmental public sectors in Asia, such as NGOs, NPOs, civil society organizations, including individuals working independently.
